What? Summer Tech Tuesday Sessions

When? Tuesday Mornings throughout June & July (see schedule below)

Time? 10:30 to Noon

Where? District Office Conference Room

Why? To spend time with your colleagues this summer and to have the opportunity to spend time learning more technology! Plus you earn 1 point Professional Development for every TWO Tech Tuesdays!

Even though Summer is over, I will leave this page up for staff to use as resources!

Schedule of Sessions and Topics:

June 11, Pages app
Pages lets you and your students create letters, reports, flyers, and more on your iPad. We will learn the basic features and interface, creating and using documents, working with text, document formatting, and importing and sharing documents. After this session, you will feel comfortable assigning work to your students to be completed in Pages.

June 18, Notability app
Notability is a comprehensive note taking app for the iPad. It gives you and your students the ability to create new notes from scratch, import certain file formats to take notes on (like PDFs), share notes with others, and organize your notes. This session will also teach you how to type, draw, hand write, add photographs, record audio, and integrate web pages all in Notability.

July 9, Keynote app
Keynote is a perfect way for you and your students to create presentations on your iPad. In this Tuesday session we will create a presentation, work with tables, add images, format, create a chart, set transitions and animations, and share the presentation.

July 16 iMovie app
iMovie for the iPad is a mobile version of Apple's video editing software. In this session we will record video, add video clips to an iMovie proejct, edit our video, trim and split clips, add music, add text, and transitions, and finalize your movie. We will then export the video.

It is a tool for class communication and collaboration. In this session you will learn how to create a class, add students, add assignments, keep students organized, and MUCH MORE!

July 30, eBackpack
